This study focuses on technical aspects of MO.MA device, which is a proximal protection system that can be used in Carotid Artery Stenting (CAS), when exists severe stentotic with brindle atheromatous plaques, or extreme arterial tortuosity. Clinical and radiological aspects are also reviewed in this study in order to get a proper patient selection and a suitable safety profile.

CAS is an accepted modality of intervention for treatment of carotid atheromatous disease.
