In this e-poster we are willing to remark the following key points:
To review and illustrate signs,
symptoms and imaging findings of meningiomas brain tumors.
To describe the diagnostic difficulties that we have had in our institution in order to help radiologist in training to differentiate meningiomas from other brain tumors-alterations.
Background
Meningiomas are the most common primary brain tumors,
representing one-third of all such tumors.
They arise from the arachnoid "cap" cells of the arachnoid villi in the meninges.
These tumors are usually benign in nature; however,
a small percentage are malignant.
Imaging information about the dural attachment site,
location and severity of edema,
and displacement of critical neurovascular structures is useful for planning the operative approach and possible effects.
The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies meningiomas into 3 categories:

Meningiomas are slowly growing,
well–circumscribed lesions.
Due to their indolent course,
they are often large at the time of presentation.
Meningiomas are extra-axial lesions.
It does it means that it is outside the brain because the lesion derives from the lining of the brain or surrounding structures.
There are some signs that indicate that the lesion is an extra-axial tumor.

Conclusion
The clinical and radiologic aspects of meningiomas are important for many reasons: they are the most common extra-axial neoplasms found in adults,
they have high prevalence of signs and symptoms,
and they frequently have typically imaging characteristics.
Despite these typical aspects,
radiologists must be aware of the various and sometimes atypical imaging appearances of meningiomas in order to arrive to the correct diagnose.
