Purpose
Background.Nephroblastoma and neuroblastoma - ones of the most common embryonal tumors in children.
However differentiate of these tumors by help routine ultrasound and computer tomography in some cases are difficult,
especially when their linear dimensions are 8-10 cmor more.
It is believed that any solid tissues mass,
that has been visualized by means of methods of medical introscopy,
in the projection of the kidney in children aged less than 5 years,
above all,
suggests a Wilms tumor,
at least for until proven otherwise.
However,
by...
Methods and Materials
Measurements in mode B-flow,
spectral and color Doppler for blood flow in main kidneys arteries in children with nephroblastoma (23) and adrenal neuroblastoma (21) were made.
In work [2] the accuracy and efficacy of B-flow imaging in the diagnosis and measurement diameter of renal artery compared with color duplex ultrasonography and digital subtraction angiography were evaluated as acceptable.
So has been confirmed the adequacy of ours methodological approach (Fig.
1).
Results
According to our data the volume of the affected organ for nephroblastoma was correlated with blood flow in its main artery (r = 0,45; p <0,05).
This dependence characterized by inefficient circulation of the affected kidney,
and probably reflects the need for change in the absolute amount of blood flow in tumor growth,
though the specific blood supply of healthy organs were much higher than that of the affected (p = 0,00001).
Specific indices of blood supply of the affected and contralateral kidneys were 1.32...
Conclusion
For differentiation between neuroblastoma adrenal gland and nephroblastoma us was shown efficiency measurement and comparing of blood flow in the main kidneys arteries.
The use of B-flow visualisation has allowed substantially neutralize the errors associated with the measurement of renal arteries lumen.
Use of relative data for blood flow has allowed substantially neutralize the errors associated with the methodological features of the measurement and to align the age-dependent characteristics of the patients and,
ultimately,
improve diagnostic efficacy.
So was found that the diagnostic efficiency at...

Personal Information
As a doctor ultrasound diagnostics and physiologist I am working in the area of pediatric oncology in National Scientific and Practical Center of Children's Oncology,
Hematology and Immunology Republic of Belarus since 1997.
I am interested in non invasive research blood supply of the tumors and modelling of its growth.
With my collegues we trying to do in Belarus,
something similar,
but we would like to give more mathematical justification of our work.
Initially,
it was a modelling of regional hemodynamics in children with congenital...
