INTRODUCCION
TIPS en sus siglas en inglés transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt es un método percutáneo para reducir la presión venosaportal al crear un canal entre una vena suprahepática y la porta.
Indicaciones:
Prevención del sangrado por varices gástricas,
esofágicas.
Ascitis refractaria.
Sangrado severo de varices gastroesofágicas refractario a otros tratamientos.
Gastropatía hipertensiva de origen portal.
Ectasia vascular del antro gástrico.
Hidrotórax refractario.
Síndrome hepatorenal tipo 1-2.
Síndrome de Budd chiari.
Enfermedad veno oclusiva.
Síndrome hepato pulmonar.
Contraindicaciones:
Absolutas:
Fallo hepático severo.
Severa e incontrolada encefalopatía....
Conclusiones
La derivacion portosistemica por vía transyugular,
es un método seguro,
rápido y eficaz,
con baja tasa de complicaciones.
