Aims and objectives
To collect radiation dose data at acquisition nodes using ionizing radiation.
The devices in scope are of course CT and digital radiography systems,
certainly including cardio-vascular systems,
mammography systems and mobile C-arms.
The dose related data is gathered in different ways to be stored together with the images in DICOM format in a PACS.
The current PACSystems are only able to store those DICOM objects.

Methods and materials
The implementation and setup of a service class provider for the involved DICOM objects in order to enable an automated registration of the dose data.
This approach should be independent from modalities and vendors,
DX and PET-CT.
Different communication models need to be organized between each acquisition node and the dose management system.
The modus of operandi depends on the kind of object each modality is able to provide to the dose management system (DMS).
The DMS acting as a worklist service class user compares the obtained list of procedures and patient information with those of previously performed procedures stored in the dosimetric database.
The extraction methods determine the features of the datasets,
