Purpose
The improvement of results in healthcare through the transmission of information to the patient within a relation of empathy and trust is already a verified hypothesis.

Methods and materials
This research was a quantitative,
descriptive and correlational study in which data was collected through self-applied questionnaires addressed to 300 patients aged between 18 years old and 85 years old after subjected to imagiologic examinations,
in two public hospital healthcare unit.
The sampling method was non-probabilistic,
by convenience,
and data were collected between June and September 2014.
Informed consent,
was provided to patients before the study beyond that guaranteed the anonymity of the information.

Results
Characteristics of the final sample of 300 patients are presented in Table 1.
Participants had a broad age distribution from 18 to 85 years and were predominantly female (n=194,
64,7%).
Both Hospitals had the same sample size (n=150,
50%) and the patients were submitted mostly to General Radiology examinations (n=198,
66%) and less to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (n=30,
10%).

Conclusion
Communication with the patient takes an important part in providing quality health care. As such ,
interpersonal and communication skills are considered a core area of competence.
An efficient interaction,
with the goal of providing an Humanized care in radiology has many benefits such as increasing the speed and safety in diagnostic tests,
effective patient clarification,
increased psychological well-being,
increased predisposition of patients to return for a follow-up and therefore,
increased patient satisfaction,
giving visibility and recognition to the hospital radiology department.
