The aim of this work was to assess of state of the vascular bed and perfusion of lungs in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) using the method of subtraction CT.

CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA) was performed 45 patients with suspected diagnosis of CTEPH (18 men, 27 women, age 26-79 years) by 320-detector row CT scanner (Aquilion ONE 640 VISION Edition, Toshiba) using the standard protocol Lung substraction. The main pulmonary artery (MPA), CT angiographic (CTA) obstruction score, perfusion defect score, parameters right ventricular (RV) were assessed by CTPA. In all patients were detected pulmonary perfusion abnormalities. Thrombotic masses in pulmonary arteries were identified in 42 patients. In 3 patients was detected intraluminal bands and webs in segmental arteries by CTPA, which didn't detect by digital subtraction angiography (DSA).
