Background

Biliary obstruction is a very common presentation that requires different interventions as Endoscopic Retrograde CholangioPancreatography ( ERCP) Percutaneous transhepatic drainage/stenting as well as subsequent surgeries be them laparoscopic, endoscopic or open. These interventions have common complications that may endanger the patient's life and that require prompt diagnosis and management.
