In our tertiary teaching centre hospitals, there are two registrars on-call overnight and during the evening, with three on-call over the weekend. All provisional registrar reports from July 2017 were retrospectively analysed. These included reports from trainees from their first to fifth year of training. The consultant addendums were used as a 'gold standard'.
