To describe the crucial role of imaging in the assessment of scrotal trauma depicting the most common imaging findings obteined from various imaging modalities currently in use according to a single centre experience and literature analysis.

Genitourinary tract injuries are rare (3 to 10% of trauma patients) and particularly scrotal injuries account for less than 1% of patients with traumatic associated lesions; this extremely low incidence is due to the testicular mobility, elasticity and anatomic location which make testis usually relatively protected from injuries.
