118 patients with non traumatic supraspinatus tendinopathy ranging from age of 35 to 83 years were included in the study and evaluated on 1.5 T MRI at Dr D Y Patil medical college, pune over a period of 1.5 year. The fat pad thickness was significantly lower in the patients with myo-tendinous junctional and insertional with junctional tendinosis as compared to insertional alone, below the coraco-acromial ligament alone and insertional along with below coraco-acromial ligament. The coraco-acromial ligament was significantly thickened in case of tendinosis at the site underlying it as compared to insertional tendinosis. SASD bursa inflammation is very commonly seen with supraspinatus tendinosis. The indentation may be present with or without junctional tendinosis of supraspinatus tendon.
