Conclusiones

  • Los métodos de imagen funcional por RM como la espectroscopia, los estudios dinámicos con contraste (perfusión) y los estudios con difusión mejoran con sistemas de 3 Tesla dado que mejora la resolución espacial, temporal y espectral.
  • El estudio multimodal funcional y morfológico integrado con RM 3 Tesla es una técnica muy útil y completa para evaluar y diferenciar la patología de la glándula prostática. Puede mejorar el diagnóstico y estadificación del cáncer de próstata, diferenciando otras patologías como la inflamatoria o la hiperplásica, colaborando en la planificación terapéutica y añadiendo un valor pronóstico.
  • Nuestra experiencia con RM 3 Tesla sin bobina endorrectal resulta prometedora.
