Background/introduction
In February 2016the first modality in Bravis Hospital (Roosendaal,
The Netherlands) was connected to a dosemanagement system (Sectra DoseTrack,
Sectra AB Sweden).Since then10 modalities have been added(3 CT scanners,
1 PET-CT scanner,
2 C-arms,
2 tomosynthesis systems and 3 angiography systems) and over 64.000 dose reports have been collected.
In this poster is explained how the dose management system is implemented,
used and why it is a must-have for every hospital.

Conclusion and recommendations
A dose management systemcan beuseful in many ways: checking (changes in) doselevels,
investigating outliers,
obtaining dose information in order to perform risk assessments anddemonstrating compliance with diagnostic reference levels.
These usesare all facilitated by a dose management system without imposing an administrative burden on staff due to the collection of radiation dose information.
Special attention should be given to the connection of systems toa dose management system.
A system should be equipped with the following options: export dose reports in DICOM RDSR format,
be able...
