Purpose
To asses accompanience of lateral meniscus tears with anteriorly located parameniscal cysts in patients and evaluate the morphology and frequency of this condition.
Introduction:
Meniscal injuries are common in young population due to their relatively high sporting occupancies rather than olders .It has been observed a second peak of incidence in elderly persons older than 55 years;which is secondary to a degenerate meniscus being susceptible to injuries with minor trauma.

Meniscal tear incidence may be as high as %0.6 population with a 2 to...
Methods and Materials
Routine knee MRI of patients referred from outpatient clinics with suspected meniscus tear were collected between May 2015 and january 2016 .
1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto (Erlangen ,Germany) and IMediplus Diagnoplus viewer DS3000 workstation (Turmap HealthCare,
Mortsel,
Belgium) were used to evaluate images.
725 of the patient were showed medial meniscus tear with some additional ligament problems whereas 130 patients were suffering from lateral meniscus tears.
64 patients have had both medial and lateral meniscus tears.
32 of the patient having lateral meniscus tears with...
Results
Study group were consists; 32 knees of 32 patients ;20 male ,12 female with mean age was 33.5 with 8.5 Standart deviation (SD) and 11 patient had discoid meniscus whereas 2 patient's had additional medial meniscal tear .
Mean age of the patients with lateral meniscal tears was 43.3 ,SD 15.9 .
Age of our patients significantly lower then those of patients with lateral meniscal tears.P=0.00006
Between the study group and group with lateral meniscal tears no statiscically significant results were achieved by gender and...
Conclusion
Lateral meniscal tear with anteriorly located parameniscal cysts are common in younger patients and occur without additional medial meniscal tear.
