Purpose
Cardiac magnetic resonance is the standard reference method for the assessment of left (LV) and right ventricular (RV) volumes, ejection fraction and mass. However, acquisitions are time-consuming and sometimes challenging to handle for patients suffering from heart condition. Accelerated techniques such as compressed sensing (CS) have been developed to decrease scan time1,2. CS is based on a random undersampling of a tranform image which is then restored by the use of iterative reconstructions3. Real-time compressed sensing cine (CSrt) has already been evaluated and is reliable for the quantification of LV and RV functional parameters4. But image quality may be altered by a part of interpolation responsible for boarder blurring. This study evaluates a new-generation of CS cine featuring retrospective cardiac gating on two heart-beats regarding quantification of ventricular parameters and image quality.
