We designed and distributed on line, in different hospitals (University, Public, Private), two different surveys, about the role of radiologists in TAVI Heart Team.
One of them to be filled by Heart Team members with different medical specialities, and one addressed to radiologists allready involved in the procedure, regarding the way they see themselves as part of this team.
The surveys were electronicaly shared by email, were anonymously and consent was obtained of each participant.
Unexpectedly it was not an easy going throughout procedure, to promote our questionnaire, as we had thought, and most of the times we had to practice our persuasive skills and to rely on our interpersonal relationships in order to keep going with our research. Surprisingly, Tavi leaders in private hospitals were more willing to participate, with the most inaccessible ones, to be in academic hospitals, probably because Heart Team idea and direct interaction with radiologists, seems to be more enrolled in daily practice of private hospitals.
The questions (total of 26 and 28, in each one respectively) were focused on key factors affecting everyday practice and role playing in clinical decisions making. Additionally, we surveyed key demographics and workplace settings.
The main language used at the surveys was Greek, and they had to be translated in order submited answers to be enrolled to this project.
