Methods and Materials
(I) Phantom-Calibrations -
A New York Catphan 500 was examined using Single Slice helical CT using technique factors of 120 kVp,
300mA,
4 secs.,
10mm slice.
Penumbra Spread,
distance,
area/volume,
high-contrast resolution,
and processing time were measured:
Coin & Wire Phantom was also used to study the removal of Penumbra Effect at the edges of a Guide Wire.
(II) Field-Studies:-
(1) MR breast tumor images (3D T1 W Fat suppression with Gadolinium enhancement (T1_3D_FS+GD)) was used for the study;
(2) CR image (first view) of tibia fracture of 13 year-old male patient (#2);
(3) CR image (second view) of tibia fracture of 13 year-old male patient (#2);
(4) CR image of distal tibial fracture of an 8 year-old male patient (#9);
(5) CR image (first view) of spiral fracture of the tibia in plastic cast of a 17 year-old male patient (#14);
(6) CR image (second view) of spiral fracture of the tibia in plastic cast of a 17 year-old male patient (#14);
(7) CR image (first view) of distal left tibial fracture treated with metal pin and screw of a 16 year old male patient (#10);
(8) CR image (second view) of distal left tibial fracture treated with metal pin and screw of a 16 year old male patient (#10);
(9) CR image (first view) of right tibial midshaft fracture of a 16 year old male patient (#10);
and,
(10) CR image (second view) of right tibial midshaft fracture of a 16 year old male patient (#10).
