Methods and materials
The study was carried out in radiological department in the Oulu University Hospital.
Measurements were made in one fluoroscopy device (GE Innova) in autumn 2014.
Measurements were made mostly in PTA of femoral artery but in some procedures the PTA includes also the whole leg and pelvic artery.
The doses were measured total in 12 procedures.
The Dosemeters used were Philips DoseAware and Unfors EDD-30.
DoseAware Dosemeters were attached on the radiologists' thyroid shield,
radiographers' thyroid shield,
on both sides of the ceiling-suspended lead screen.
The EDD Dosemeter was placed on the left side of radiologists lead-glasses. Unfors EDD-30 Dosemeter was used to determine the radiologists eye dose.
