We administer the 177Lu treatment intravenously as a slow 30-minute infusion 2-6 times over the course of 4-6 weeks. Normal physiologic uptake is seen in salivary glands and therefore we protected parotid glands with cooling compressions in order to minimize side effects. It takes less than three minutes to fill in the possible symptoms for our patients and it gives valuable information which can be used for planning the next treatment.
