Demographic characterics:
Average age of the study group was 25.47±7.8 and mean BMI was calculated 28.29±6.3 kg/m2.
Results:
The data acquired on B-mode sonographic assessment is as follows: 6 patients had microlithiasis,
2 patients had epididymal cyst,
2 patients had varicocele and 1 patient had hidrocele in the study group.
Average testicular volume (sum of the volumes of both testes) measured 6,93 cc and 8.74 cc by each observers respectively.
Elastographic pattern of the testicles demonstrates moderate elasticity for the most part.
The interobserver agreement was good at the evaluation of the testis STE pattern by both observers,
whereas the interobserver agreement was moderate at the epididymal SWE (pressure) (K = 0.805,
p = 0.0093 and K = 0.593,
p = 0.010,
respectively).
Intraclass correlation coefficients were not statistically significant for testis SWE (pressure and speed values),
epididymal SWE (speed) and epididymal STE pattern between the observers (p > 0.05)(Table 1 and Table 2).
