Results
The DAP values measured for each series of teeth are presented in the table 2.
Those values were found to be consistent with the DAP values described in some similar articles [4-6].
Those values can wary from author to author in a range from 1.46 up to 5.10 µGy m^2.
With the use of the Dap values for separate imaging area and the data for different combinations used for the full mouth series the cumulative doses were calculated.
The average DAP in the full mouth series was 34.3 µGy m^2,
with the range of 27.0 – 39.3 µGy m^2.
The average DAP value in panoramic imaging was 8.01 ± 2.34 µGy m^2 which were found to be consistent with some other articles where they have inspected DAP values for panoramic imaging (from 7.2 to 11.3 µGy m^2) [5,
7-11].
Maximum difference between full mouth series and panoramic imaging was 31.29 µGy m^2.
All the DAP values from full mouth series had shown statistically significant difference in comparison to the average panoramic DAP value (p < 10^-3) (image 1).
