Regarding tumor dimensions,
19 (59.38%) were ≥30mm,
while 13 (40.62%) were <30mm.
The most common histological type encountered in our study that included patients with pancreatic head cancers was adenocarcinoma (81.25% - 26 patients),
followed by acinar cell carcinoma (9.375% - 3 patients) [Figure 1].

neoplasm.

The mean age of the patients included in our study was 63.46 years and ranged between 51 and 78 years [Figure 2].

The mean pancreatic head tumor size was 33.53mm,
ranging between 22mm and 52mm.
Moreover,
the mean diameter of the CBD was 13.40mm and ranged from 5mm to 20mm,
while the mean diameter of the Wirsung duct was 5.75mm and ranged between 3mm to 12mm.
Our study highlighted that tumor dimensions were significantly associated with the diameter of the Wirsung duct (p=0.018<0.05) [Figure 3].
However,
tumor dimensions were not significantly associated with the diameter of the CBD (p=0.102).

Given the results that we obtained from our study,
we considered that the tumor location inside the pancreatic head was significantly more important than the tumor size itself mainly due to the fact that there was no significant correlation between tumor dimensions and the diameter of the CBD [4,
5,
6].
