Conclusion
DT of the spine is a new diagnostic tool that allows obtaining high-quality spinе images in direct or lateral projections,
in the form of numeral thin sections without tissue superposition effect.
DT complements the radiography data in spondylitis: it allows assessing small vertebral destructions (inter-disk and subligamentous spread),
and paravertebral abscesses.
The results of bone destruction detection on the DT appeared to be higher than DR results,
yet similar to CT.
DT is a potential low-dose technique and needs to use for follow-up control of treatment spondylitis,
perhaps,
as an alternative to CT imaging.
