Background
Soft-tissue tumours of the hand are frequently detected on imaging studies in clinical practice.
The WHO pathological classification system for soft tissue tumours is so complex and is categorized into various categories depending on the cell of origin.1
The exclusion of malignancy is the initial and the most important step of the management algorithm in patients with soft tissue tumours of the hand .
Despite many studies that have been documented ,
no clear cut approach mantra (Sanskrit word meaning a "sacred message" ) is available for benign soft tissue tumours of hand .
Hence to simplify the reporting,
a systematic approach is necessary for optimal assessment and characterization of these lesions.
This ultimately narrows down to diagnosis and aids in the management of the patients.
