In order to support the EuroSafe Imaging initiative, our Institution was working on fulfilling the required criteria to achieve a 5 stars level. Several actions had been carried out in each of the 6 topics: Optimisation, Justification, Quality & Safety, Education, Research and Regulatory compliance. Our Department is equipped with 6 CT scanners localized in different buildings. Three CT scanners are used for routine clinical practice in the adult section, the fourth one is dedicated to the Emergency Department, number 5 is dedicated to pediatric patients and the last one is installed in the Geriatrics Department. All 6 CT scanners are controlled by different teams (radiographers and radiologists). Working with a dose management system allowed us to point out at those protocols that needed to be optimized in order to ensure that patient doses are as low as reasonably achievable for the clinical purpose of the examination.
