Conclusion and recommendations
DHA established local DRLs for paediatric common fluoroscopy examinations in order to promote good practice by producing optimum range of radiation dose values for fluoroscopy examinations. These DRL values benchmarked with the previous work done in DHA and internationally published literature (NDRLs UK 2016 and NRDLs Australia 2013).
DHA dosimetry journey will be a great contribution to paediatric radiation safety to promote good optimization practice and this can be useful for radiation protection educational programs. The result of the study can also use as a benchmark and stimulus for future dose monitoring & dose recording efforts for the implication of Local and National DRLs at the UAE.
