Debido a la anatomía topográfica del calcáneo la superposición de estructuras del tarso puede dificultar el seguimiento de los diferentes trazos de fractura con radiología simple,
por lo que el TCMD constituye una herramienta fundamental en el estudio de las fracturas de calcáneo y en la decisión terapéutica.
