Learning objectives
The objective of our presntation is to understand the Lexicon of classification of lymphoma based on anatomy & pathogenesis and imaging finding with appropriate imaging modality with respect to staging and response assesment of the disease.
Background
Lymphoma is a neoplasia of the lymphoid series in the lymphoid organs or extranodal tissue. Lymphoma has categories with overlapping features which has an impact on clinical features, natural history, prognosis and treatment.
Fig-1 showing the 2016 WHO classification of the lymphomas.
The 2016 revision of the WHO classification maintains the same principles of the 2008 edition, which is to recognize distinct entities on the basis of morphology, immunophenotype, genetic changes, and clinical features.

Findings and procedure details
Our retrospective study was carried out in a tertiary high volume center from april 2017 to dec 2019. The data of the known lymphoma patients were analysed for imaging findings and subsequent pathological corellation was also carried out.
A spectrum of cases illustrating and correlating the histogenisis, staging, response assessment is presented. PET CT with its functional & morphological imaging is the main-stay of imaging , however it has its pitfalls. Response assessment using the Lugano Criteria & Recil criteria is also important to decide...
Conclusion
Treatment of lymphoma has evolved from mere observation in low-grade lymphomas to,chemotherapy ,immunotherapy,to transplant. Besides proper histopathological analysis, Pet Ct imaging is vital in deciding staging and response assessment.Response criteria like the Lugano & the recent Recil are important to decide objectively the response to treatment.
