Aims and objectives
To investigate the optimal diagnostic threshold of size and functional parameters for metastatic lymph nodes of gastric cancer with spectral CT and to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency of each factor.
Methods and materials
From December 2013 to December 2015,
86 patients with gastric cancer confirmed by gastroscope pathology underwent preoperative enhanced CT that included precontrast,
arterial phase(AP) and venous phase(VP) in Discover GSI CT scanner.

long diameter,
the ratio of short to long diameter,
the CT number and iodine value of lymph nodes were measured and recorded on transverse monochromatic images at 70 keV and iodine based images with 1.25mm thickness..

Results
Among 552 lymph nodes found in CT images,
338 nodes were positive and 214 were negative.
The results of t test showed that the short diameter,
the ratio of short to long diameter,
the CT number and iodine value in every phase of positive lymph nodes were higher than these of negative lymph nodes.

Conclusion
The diagnosis efficiency of lymph nodes metastasis in gastric cancer patients was improved by combining lymph nodes size and functional parameters with spectral CT.
