This free online program allows anybody to create their own radiology tutorials.
A three step approach makes the creation of that tutorial easy: create a tutorial,
create chapters for the respective tutorial and create pages for the respective chapter (figures 1-4).
The user may add multimedia to the tutorial and - what is unique - also entire image stacks which can be viewed as on the radiologist's workstation with features such as scroll,
window/level,
pan,
zoom (figure 5).
The program provides predefined categories (e.g.
organ and modality based) to make an assignment of contents as easy as a click of a mouse button.
A quiz can be also implemented to test the impact of the tutorial on the user's performance (figure6).
How does it work?
Please go on www.radiologytutorials.com and click on the respective link or log on directly to www.radiolopolis.com - an international Radiology community for education.
Under "Education & Research" you will find a tab for Tutorials.
Ther you find the tutorials creator.
As a member of Radiolopolis you can immediately start creating your own tutorials.
You can either create immediately a new tutorial or review and edit your previously created tutorials (figure 1).

browsed,
listed by diagnosis,
imaging modalities,
automatic retrieval of latest publications (figure 5).

A unique feature is the capability to scroll through entire image stacks which can be viewed as on the radiologist's workstation with features such as scroll,
window/level,
pan,
zoom (figure 6).

A quiz (pre and post test) can be also implemented to test the impact of the tutorial on the user's performance (figure 7).

An extra feature allows to export the tutorial into external websites,
as seen on www.RadiologyTutorials.com,
www.oncallRadiology.com,
www.ChestRadiology.net.
(Export needs some customization,
thus please contact author if desired)
