Aims and objectives
Cardiovascular diseases are one of the most important medical and social problems of modern society. Arterial hypertension (AH) takes the first place in the structure of the prevalence and incidence of cardiovascular diseases among adults and adolescents in Ukraine.
According to official statistics of the Ministry of Health on January 1,
2011 in Ukraine were registered over 12 million patients with AH,
representing 32.2% of the adult population [1,
2].
Multidetector computed tomographic (MDCT) angiography [3,
5] is a highly informative method of imaging of cerebral vessels with the ability to obtain comprehensive information about the inner lumen of the arteries and their anatomical and topographical relationship with surrounding structures.
Objective. To study the features of anatomical development and structural and stenotic cerebral vessels changes in patients with arterial hypertension with various levels of total cardiovascular risk on the basis of MDCT-angiography data.
