Aims and objectives
In late years a tablet terminal including iPad is released and it develops as an apparatus turning into a PC and spreads.
Use in an operating room and the bedside is reported,
and,
in the healthcare setting,
there are many hospitals fixing the use environment in tablet terminal in the superior tablet terminal of the portability[1-6].
In addition,
using a characteristic to be superior in portability,
the teleradiology system,
which can help the treatment judgment in emergency room,
is required.
If we use teleradiology at a tablet terminal,
it requires consideration that the medical reliability is necessary about the diagnosis with the monitor of the tablet terminal.
Gradation characteristics of medical monitoring of hospital ,
corrected to the digital imaging and communication in medicine (DICOM) standard[7].
The software calibrating which is simple with the monitor of the tablet terminal for DICOM is shown[8,9].
On the other hand,
the gray scale indication to constitute the brain substance of the head CT image has a report that a general-purpose monitor is higher in the contrast resolving power not a medical service monitor[10].
In other words a question is held in the need to calibrate the gray scale indication of such an image for DICOM standard.
The diagnosis of the MRI image using a tablet terminal,
is still considered insufficient.
In the diagnosis of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease by MRI image using a tablet terminal ,
to conduct a study of medical reliability.
We were compared with observer performance in the detection of acute cerebral infarction on a brain MRI using medical-grade liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors calibrated with the gray-scale standard display function and using an iPad air.
