Results
Both of primary technical success and technical effectiveness were 100% in RFA.
Disease-free survival rate (DFSR) was evaluated at 6 months,
1 year and 3 years.
In RFA group,
DFSR was 100% in each time.
However,
in LPN group,
DFSR was 100% at 6 months and 1 year while 93.8% (23/24) at 3 years.
Difference of the DFSR between RFA and LPN groups was statistically insignificant (P>0.05).
Mean value of the periprocedural creatinine level was decreased in RFA (-0.33mg/dL),
but increased in LPN (0.27mg/dL) (P<0.001).
Hospital days was shorter in RFA (4 versus 10 days,
P<0.05).
Change of hemoglobin and eGFR was not statistically significant (P>0.05).
Only one patient in the LPN group showed metastasis.
Minor complications were occurred 10% (2/20) in RFA group and 20.1% (5/24) LPN group without major complication.
