We conducted an audit from 15th November 2017 to 30th November2017 in Darlington Memorial Hospital where we gave 23 doctors who underwent ALS training a 25 questions questionnaire regarding management of contrast reaction to solve,
the questionnaire was sourced from the Royal college of radiology UK official website (4) questions were mainly focused on dosages of medications (adrenaline,
corticosteroid,
antihistamines) involved in management of contrast reaction,
intravenous volume expansion,
cardio‐pulmonary resuscitation and scenario based management.
All the doctors were monitored while filling in the questionnaire to make sure no external sources were been used and later we marked the responses obtained.
An educational poster was then designed and attached in the wards,
CT scan and MRI rooms and all the staff was informed about the significance and purpose of the poster before attachment.
Re-audit was done in between 21st -30th December in which the doctors were handed over the questionnaire again and were marked as before.
