Conclusion
The pilot included three students only,
situated in three different municipalities/towns in Norway,
and all correspondence and guidance were performed online.
The cloud platform Zoom (https://zoom.us) functioned overall well both from students and teachers perspective,
so did the Canvas platform (Instructure,
Salt Lake City,
US).
We recommend on-line delivery,
so all students have the same learning environment.
It remains to see how everything works out with students from more countries in future.
The training package of radiology referrals piloted in Norway 2018 will be provided in the ECR research area for radiographers at ECR 2019.
Based on the experiences there,
a pre-conference workshop to the ISRRT world conference in Dublin 2020 will be arranged on the topic “Radiographers in the referral process”.
The Masters online course will facilitate radiographers’ post-graduate professional development and international collaboration on a topical theme in radiology: justification.
University of South-Eastern Norway and University College of Dublin acknowledge ESR,
ACR and the Government of Western Australia who provide the appropriateness criteria and referral pathways free to the professional societies for learning purpose and clinical applications.
