Aarau Cantonal Hospital (KSA) is the largest hospital in the canton of Aargau and,
next to the university hospitals,
one of the largest center hospitals in Switzerland.
As an inter-regional facility with a non-Cantonal charisma,
the KSA has a first-class medical-technical infrastructure,
is actively involved in research and is an important further education center for prospective specialists as well as an attractive employer for numerous occupational groups through the training of 31 specialist titles,
19 of them in A-status from care,
therapy and operation.
The range of medical services ranges from primary care to specialized and highly specialized medicine.
In more than 30 treatment and diagnostic centers,
around 4,100 specialists in diagnostics,
medicine,
nursing,
therapy and other professional areas are responsible for over 27,000 inpatient and 520,000 outpatient treatments each year.
The imaging and dose optimization team at KSA is a multidisciplinary team with specialist from different modalities and professions.
The Swiss National CT Dose Registry project has been financed by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health and KSA.
