To evaluate the efficacy of a POC device by comparison with the gold standard laboratory method.

BACKGROUND: Intravenous iodinated contrast is a commonly used diagnostic aid to improve image quality and enhance lesion detection on computed tomography. The POC device is only moderately accurate at detecting renal impairment in patients undergoing IV contrast. POC would seem to be a good screening tool prior to IV contrast administration, however any low POC eGFR values should be further examined as there could be some false positives.
