We performed this study in accordance with regulations about the animal care and experiments. NewZealand white rabbits were divided into two groups according to the materials(PVA. diameter 150-250um, 4 rabbits) and RF ablation(8 rabbits by 0.018 inch Tefron coated platinum Mandril guide wire, Cook, Bjaeverskov,Denmark) was used for embolization of right renal artery. Gross pathologic findings were examined. Swelling of embolized kidney was observed in both group 3days after embolization. Shrinkage of the kidney was consistently seen after 2weeks, And We could find the hard consistency and nodular spaces. At the histologic analysis, the PVA particles make incomplete obstruction of the arterial lumen and no vasculitis is noted at 3days later. Embolization effects of Radiofrequency Wire Electrode is a good candidate for embolic method and shows more cell destruction effect on rabbit in comparison with that of PVA particle. We need long term follow up(more than 4 weeks) and safe study.
