Learning objectives
1) Present a one-year follow-up in terms of clinical and radiological aspects with giant calcified biceps tendinitis
2) Discuss the differential diagnosis
Background
Biceps tendinitis is inflammation of the tendon around the long head of the biceps muscle.
Biceps tendinosis is caused by degeneration of the tendon from athletics requiring overhead motion or from the normal aging process (1).
Calcific tendinitis is a painful condition related to deposition of hydroxyapatite crystals; it favors large joints.
The shoulder,
specifically the tendons of the rotator cuff and the insertion of the long head of the biceps on the superior glenoid rim,
is a well-recognized location for this abnormality.

Imaging findings OR Procedure Details
A fifty-five-year-old female was referred to our clinic for a checkup chest X-ray.
Radiopaque soft tissue lesions in the right humerus region were incidentally seen on that X-ray.
It was learned that the patient had pain in her right arm when she was pushing a heavy object 15 years ago,
after a while her pain passed and there were no complaints as much as the day.
On her clinical examination,
a deeply palpated semi-moving,
solid mass was found in the middle and medial side of...
Conclusion
Biceps tenosynovitis is an inflammatory pathology observed in the biceps tendon or sheath and may be caused by trauma,
arthritis or infection.
It is very rare to reach the presented dimensions.
Especially in chronic cases,
the complaints of the patient determine the treatment process.
