Imaging findings OR Procedure Details
A fifty-five-year-old female was referred to our clinic for a checkup chest X-ray.
Radiopaque soft tissue lesions in the right humerus region were incidentally seen on that X-ray.
It was learned that the patient had pain in her right arm when she was pushing a heavy object 15 years ago,
after a while her pain passed and there were no complaints as much as the day.
On her clinical examination,
a deeply palpated semi-moving,
solid mass was found in the middle and medial side of the right humerus,
approximately in a 10 cm area. The shoulder and elbow joint’s range of motion were accurate.
Specific tests for shoulder and biceps were found naturally in the patient without a finding of impingement. On the X-ray,
there was a 10x4 cm lobulated and calcified mass in the region of the 1/3 mid-upper part of the right humerus corresponding to the biceps localization.
As a result of MRI,
it was seen that the mass was well-defined 10x4x3 cm calcified tenosynovitis (Figure 1,
2,
3).The patient who did not have any complaints was followed up with MRI results.
At the end of one-year follow-up,
there was no increase in the size of the mass by radiological examination in the patient who did not develop any clinical complaints.
