The results of helical CT were not confirmed by the data of intraoperative operative and US interventions in 5 patients (8%). In all of them one or two contrast phases of multislice helical CT showed focal changes of hepatic parenchyma that were evaluated as metastatic ones: in three patients multifocal and in two patients solitary, of 4 to 12 mm in diameter. Moreover, in three of these five patients routine US also showed focal changes with localization coincided with that on helical CT (see table 1). Cases of false-positive results of helical multiphase CT in patients with liver metastases are showed in pictures 1, 2 and 3.
