From fifty-four (54) women who underwent both hysterosalpingography (HSG) and laparoscopy we were exclude five patients with totally obstructed tubes. From the remaining forty-nine (49) women, forty-three (43) had both tubes studied. Only one tube was analyzed in two patients because of a surgical removal of the other tube and also in other four women because the other tube was inadequately visualized in HSG. In total ninety-two (92) tubes were delineated.No abnormality was detected in 6 tubes on both HSG and laparoscopy. Laparoscopy disclosed adhesions in fifty-one (51) tubes.Diagnosis of adhesions was made in forty-six (46) tubes when the presence of one abnormal sign on HSG was considered as criterion. Laparoscopy reveals adhesions in eighteen of those tubes (28 false positive). Two or more radiological signs were seen in forty tubes (40). Seven false positive results were found by laparoscopy, which delineate thirty-three correct diagnoses (adhesions). We were identified the radiological sign of convoluted tube in nine (9) cases in which laparoscopy revealed peritubal adhesions in three (3) cases. Seven (7) tubes were vertical and in other seven (7) cases we were found the hallo effect. From these cases in eight (five with hallo effect and three vertical) there was no abnormal finding in laparoscopy. Also with no laparoscopic finding were five (5) cases in which HSG revealed fixed laterodeviation of the uterus and four (4) cases with ampullary dilatation. In fourteen (14) cases loculation of contrast medium in peritoneum was presented and laparoscopy revealed nine (9) cases with peritubal adhesions. In the tubes with two or more radiological signs we were identified a tube with convoluted ampullary segment in combination with hallo effect and loculation of contrast medium as the most frequent triad of signs (11).At HSG nineteen (19) tubes were distally nonpatent and no sign was found in three (3) with adhesions at laparoscopy in one. In seven (7) of them one sign was found and laparoscopy reveals adhesions in two and in nine (9) tubes with two signs in which adhesions were diagnosed in four (4) cases.Ten live births (five to eight months) after HSG occurred.
