Background

The symptoms of the purulent processes such as malaise, fever, chills, abdominal pain are non-characteristic and could be signs of many different pathologies.
Laboratory abnormalities are also non-specific. Because of these reasons establishing proper diagnosis could be delayed.
Performing MDCT in many cases enables final diagnosis and decisions about proper treatment.
