Conclusion

Our preliminary experience showed that ADAPT is a promising technique, with good percentage of technical success, associated with low intraprocedural complications and with improvent of the symptoms in a wide range of patients.

The treatment was particularly effective in accurately selected (by mean of CTA/CTP) patients with stroke of early onset, hyperdense thrombus, good collateral vessels and large penumbral area.

Moreover, results appeared to be better in patient that were treated in bridging technique after IV therapy.
