Aims and objectives
The importance of self-assessment in radiology has already been shown in several publications [1,2] and it has been described that web resources improve radiological reporting skills [3].
Radiotorax.es is a free an open access internet platform created to train users’ skill in chest radiographs interpretation [4].
Users must report a series of 20 cases and then self-assess by comparing their reports with those issued by an expert radiologist.
Each time a series of cases is made,
the program generates a PDF file with all the information of the self-assessment.
These PDF-files can be effectively used for instructors’-assessment purposes [5].
The objective of this study is to evaluate whether Radiotorax.es is an effective tool for the tutored self-assessment of medical students in the interpretation of chest radiographs.
