The celiac trunk provides the arterial supply for the liver,
and proximal duodenum.
Variants of the normal anatomy of the celiac trunk are a common finding in CT examinations and their knowledge is mandatory for surgical and interventional radiology treatment planning,
as well as in the treatment of abdominal bleedings.
Celiac trunk develops during the 1st trimester of gestation,
and its anatomical variations result from mismatching of the pair of ventral segmental arteries during their fusion.

We present CT cases of celiac trunk variants,
as well as their MPR and MIP reformations.
Hepato-spleno-gastric trunk combined with hepatic variants: the common hepatic,
left gastric and splenic arteries arise from common trunk,
as in the normal trunk anatomy; this finding can be associated with: the presence of a replaced right common hepatic artery arising from the superior mesenteric artery (Fig.

Computed tomography is a powerful tool to analyze celiac trunk variants in relation to its high spatial and temporal resolution.
The correct assessment of these variants is mandatory for the planning of interventional radiology or surgical procedures and bleeding management.
