Conclusion

Recommendations were to make medical staff aware of current trust protocols and NICE guidance on neutropenic sepsis; the results of the re-audit were disseminated to the A&E and acute medical wards; and the chest-X-ray request criteria was modified with aid of the Radiology and I.T. department.
