Conclusion

Focal or diffuse liver pathologies lead to measurable changes in the perfusion parameters. Whole liver CT perfusion study may detect angiogenesis and predict the development of HCC in a cirrhotic background. Changes of angiogenesis can be detected even when changes are not obvious on routine anatomical and dynamic scans.
