Methods and materials
We evaluated 98 radiologists from 5 institutions (public and private) with a period of activity in the area ranging of zero to more than 10 years,
using an online questionnaire with the following questions:
- Are you resident?
- How long time in radiology do you have? (including medical residency) 0-5 years; 6-10 years; more than 10 years.
- What is your subspecialty? Abdominal? Neuro? Generalist? Thoracic? MSK?
- Do you think the radiologist will be extinct?
- Do you think the radiologist will have a difference work?
- With the artificial intelligence,
the radiologist's remuneration increase,
decrease,
or be the same?
- With artificial intelligence the jobs for the radiologist increase,
decrease,
or be the same?
- How soon will the changes take occur?
- Do you think that artificial intelligence will do more effectively the work than the radiologist?
- Are you afraid of the changes?
- Are you doing anything to prepare for the changes?
- If you think about changing,
do you think about changing area?
