The clavicle is the only horizontally placed long bone in the body. It lacks a definite medullary cavity and ossifies by membranous ossification.

There is paucity of literature regarding clavicular lesions, as incidence of bone tumours is less and clavicle being rare site for bone tumours.

The incidence of malignant tumour is more common, round cell tumour being predominant.

The diagnosis of clavicular tumours is difficult because of the lack of characteristic findings as in other extremity bones.

Fortunately, the clavicle can be resected without causing significant disability.
